BOARD SPOTLIGHT
LORI BOYER, TREASURER

Lori is a private client advisor and team leader for Commerce Trust in St. Joseph. She serves as a senior consultant and relationship manager providing clients with personalized objective advice and oversight across all of Commerce Trust services, including trust administration, financial advisory services, private banking, and investment management. She has extensive knowledge in administration of a variety of accounts such as revocable and irrevocable trusts, investment management, IRAs, charitable foundations, insurance trusts, estates, and endowments.
Lori joined Commerce in 1999 as an administrative assistant and graduated magna cum laude from Missouri Western State University in 2003 with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. She received the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor designation in July 2013.
Lori is an alumna of Leadership Northwest Missouri as well as Leadership St. Joseph. Additionally, she is a member of the Missouri Western State University Ambassadors Advisory Board, where she serves as membership and fundraising chair; the St. Joseph Chamber Diplomats, where she serves on the Hospitality Committee and Annual Banquet Entertainment Committee; and the St. Joseph Symphony Society Board, where she serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. Lori also gives her time volunteering through her
church children's ministry, worship team and ladies gatherings as well as participating in volunteer and service activities through United Way, Second Harvest Community Food Bank, YWCA of St. Joseph, Noyes Home for Children, and Cotillion for Achievement Scholastic Benefit.
Lori is married to her high school sweetheart, Seth, and has two children; Gabriel and Nathaniel. Lori was awarded Commerce Bank’s “Employee of the Year” for the St. Joseph Market in 2018, Commerce Trust's System Wide "All-Star" in 2019, and awarded the Women of Excellence Emerging Leader award sponsored by the YWCA of St. Joseph in 2019. Lori was also awarded the Outstanding Volunteer award from the Mayor's Awards for the Arts sponsored by the Allied Arts Council in 2024.
