Performances: 7:00 to 8:00 pm (no intermission), social time to follow

09-24-2022 “Beautiful & Brahms” – Season Opener

Saint Joseph Symphony is excited to begin this season with music director, Christopher Kelts. Designed to showcase the vast depth of the SJS orchestral sound, Faure's Pelleas et Melisande Suite is a collection of four movements telling the story of two young people in love through sounds of song, dance and nostalgia.  Brahms' second symphony is popular due to its song-like opening.  The listener will move through deep romantic melodies and dance, before ending most triumphantly.  A perfect season opener!

12-17-2022 “Holiday Cheer” with Guest Dancer, Tommy Wasiuta

Join this winter tradition with the SJS performing Holiday Cheer!  Enjoy festive songs of Christmas, seasonal favorites and Chanukah tunes. We’ll feature dance soloist, Tommy Wasiuta, in Morton Gould's Tap Dance Concerto. You will delight in the light-hearted, virtuosity of this rare work.  And no holiday concert would be complete without our sing-a-long.  Reserve your tickets today! Open seats will not last.

03-18-2022 “Czech Mix – Mozart and Dvořák”

What's the connection between Mozart and Dvořák?  They both spent a lot of time in Prague.  Mozart's Symphony No. 38 was called, "Prague", simply because it premiered there.  Dvořák, a native of the Czech Lands (now Czech Republic), composed most of his nine symphonies there.  Symphony No. 8 by Antonin Dvořák is full of Czech folk song and memorable melodies.  It's a tasty snack for your ears!

04-22-2023 “Tchaikovsky!” with Guest Violinist, Sophia Han

Fiery, lush, exciting – all this and more for the finale concert of the season! Tchaikovsky wrote some of the most romantic orchestral music in all of history.  We’ll feature two of his major works.  Serenade for Strings delivers soaring melodies, fast and exciting passages and grand sound. Violinist, Sophia Han, will make her SJS debut as featured soloist on the Violin Concert of Tchaikovsky.  She is a virtuosic, heartfelt and musical performer.  This evening will excite you for symphonic seasons to come!
