Audition
The Saint Joseph Symphony, under Music Director / Conductor, Christopher Kelts, has an annual concert season of four full concerts, one daytime children’s concert and the potential for one Saturday FamilyConcert(pending). Three rehearsal services prior to the four full concerts, and one rehearsal the day-of for the children’s and potential Family Concert.
AUDITION: The Saint Joseph Symphony encourages talented and dedicated musicians to audition. Musicians are assessed on musicianship, preparation, tone quality, and proficiency on their instrument. The AuditionCommittee consists of the Music Director, and/or principal members of the orchestra and/or the respective section membership. The Music Director has the final say in audition decisions.

A travel stipend of $20.00 each service date.
Union members receive an additional $15.00 stipend per concert cycle.

Orchestral excerpts are the only requirement
for Principal Timpani. See below for required audition excerpts.
Timpani is provided.
Auditionee must provide their own timpani mallets.

Audition Results
Results will be e-mailed to each participant by the evening of August 14, 2022.

Audition Registration
Registration for an audition is required and can be done using the Audition Registration link below. An audition time will be assigned to you.
APPLICATION: Prior to the audition, the candidate must complete the Audition Registration Form as well as review the Rehearsal and Performance Schedule. Deadline to register: August 5, 2022.
